Questions

What grade of matcha do you use?

Ceremonial grade Chiran matcha, imported in small batches from Kagoshima, Japan.

What is usucha?

Usucha means thin tea: ceremonial matcha whisked with water, no milk. It is the purest way to taste the matcha itself.

What is hojicha?

Hojicha is Japanese green tea that has been roasted. It tastes toasty and nutty, with very little bitterness and less caffeine than matcha. Ours is Nicha hojicha from Shizuoka.

Do you have a strawberry matcha latte?

Yes. Order the Ichigo on a matcha base: strawberry cabernet purée under ceremonial matcha.

Do you have a coconut matcha?

Yes. Matcha de Coco (from the Coco Cloud special) pours matcha over pink coconut water with foam. It is not offered on hojicha.
